I have been scammed by a "psychic". It started about 3 years ago. I haven't yet reported it to the police. Recently I have been thinking about the scam I was conned into and decided to do some research and found your website. I want to thank you for putting up this website so I can inform others of this scamming gypsy who was able to scam about $15,000 from me.
She told me her name was Ester Lee. I was at a mall in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She stopped me while I was looking at something at a kiosk. She told me I looked familiar and asked me if she could give me a reading. I was going through a very emotional and depressing time at that moment so I said yes. Then she told me she could tell me more if I went to her house in Dorchester in a few days. When I got there, she said that she did some meditation on me and found out some information. She said she needed to light some candles that were 5 feet tall and they cost about $50 each.
I visited her regularly and everytime she had something up her sleeves, like someone had put a curse on me and also my mother had stepped on something while she was pregnant with me and I had something growing in my stomach. She fed me all this stuff about how I needed to get an aura cleansing and she had me bring her items such as bleach, shampoo, etc. I can't even believe I would believe the BS she was feeding me, but I was at a very vulnerable state, going through a major heartache that I was willing to do anything and everything.
She asked me for $6000 in cash so she could bury them in a graveyard so she could do some cleansing on me. I borrowed the money from my family and a majority of my savings so I could "get rid of these evils" that was done to me previously by someone else. She also did a tomato trick, similar to the "egg trick" but using a tomato instead. I was in fear when she that. There was something terrible in there when she opened up the tomato, and I was just scared. She also told me I needed to buy a man's suit and all these other things so she can work on my love interest. I kept believing her and going to her and giving her the things she had requested to work on my case. When I didn't have the cash to give her, she told me I could repay her in things she needed for the house. So I went with her to Best Buy and the furniture store to get her a 52" projection TV and a sofa set and bedsheets. This happened in a four month period. She even came over to my house to bless me of all negativity.
At the end she wanted $40,000 so she could get rid of a curse. She told me I was not able to have children because of this curse but if I gave her this money, she could help me. I told her I could not come up with this money. She also had her relative with her so they could both scare me. Then she said she would talk to that relative and they could do it for $25,000. I told her that was still a lot of money. She said I could take out a loan. I was still very scared and frightened. I gave her $3500 because that was all I could come up with at the time. Then I just finally told my mother and asked her for advice. She told me this woman was definitely a scam and the things she told me were completely false. Ester kept calling me and I just avoided her calls. I didn't know what to do and I was too nervous to go to the police. Plus I felt really embarassed. Finally after a month, she stopped calling me. I really wanted to get back my money but I just didn't know what to do. I thought that the most important thing at the time was to cut off all contact with her, so she was not able to harass me with the fears and the scams. It has been three years and I am still scarred from this incident. I have tried to move on and forget about this scam, but I will never forget about this horrible incident and this horrible person who has scammed me of all this money. I really want to report this to the police now.
I am so thankful that you have started this website and that the victims of these cons are able to try to prevent and inform others of these people. After these past three years, I have become more confident and have learned that they cannot harm me. It did take awhile to build up the confidence because it is always difficult when someone has violated you in this way. You lose trust in people and some faith, but now I have complete faith in God. The reason why I lost some faith was because right before I ran into this woman, I was in an emotional state and had prayed to God that someone could come and help me. And then I met her right after that, so I fooled myself into thinking that she came to help me and she really came at such a perfect timing for her. Now, I have restored all my faith in God, and now I know I have nothing to fear in "curses" or these con artists.
